Sometime over the next few hours when you sign in to Xbox LIVE you’ll receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update. If you are signed into LIVE already, you may be signed out and asked to accept the update and you’ll be back online in a few moments.
This update does not include the Facebook, Twitter, Last.fm and Zune features. Those will be coming to Xbox LIVE later next month. This update adds WPA2 support for the Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter.

Xbox Live will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on Tuesday June 16th. The work is due to start around 8:00am (BST) and is likely to last for up to 24 hours. Xbox Live, the ‘My Xbox’ section of Xbox.com and the Xbox.com forums will be offline for this period of time.
This service maintenance is to prepare for some of the recently announced features that will be available later this year. When the service returns, you will not have any new functions or features. This is for scheduled maintenance only.
A few minutes ago, the Xbox Live team released a system update for the Xbox 360 over Xbox LIVE. Sometime over the next few hours when you sign in to Xbox LIVE you’ll recieve a prompt to accept this mandatory update. This update addresses interruption issues that some Xbox LIVE users may have experienced when playing a limited number of Xbox 360 games. There are no other changes or enhancements in this update…in other words no new features.
There will be a small Xbox Live Dashboard update today at approx 10:00am GMT. The update addresses issues that some people are having with audio and their HDMI connection.
Xbox Live will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on Friday December 5th. The work is due to start around 10:00am (GMT) and is likely to last for up to 15 minutes. Xbox Live and the ‘My Xbox’ section of Xbox.com will be offline for this period of time.
Xbox.com will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on Tuesday November 18th. The work is due to start around 08:00am (GMT) and is likely to last for up to 4 hours. Xbox.com will be offline for this period of time. This service maintenance is in preparation for the new Xbox experience which will be available this Wednesday (19th). This work will not affect Xbox Live, which will remain available during this time.
